Matthias Ulrich, M.Sc., MBA is a senior IP expert with domain knowledge in the areas of IP strategy, IP monetization, licensing negotiations, and IP protection & compliance. He built and led global IP monetization programs for leading brands, and has advised multiple companies on effective program strategies and execution to maximize the value of their IP assets. In these roles, Matthias generated $1B in incremental revenues for his companies and clients. Matthias graduated with a Master’s in Economic Science Degree from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands and holds a MBA with Distinction from the Keller Business School in Chicago, IL. Matthias is a long-time member of LESI and is a frequent speaker at conferences worldwide.
At Google, Matthias is responsible for the strategic development and execution of Google’s global vendor security and compliance program. His focus is on managing risk, readiness and resilience of Google’s third-party vendors, and ensuring compliance as any security breach or disruption to Google's partner ecosystem could have a significant impact on Google's business.
As Managing Director at Connor, Matthias led all executive functions within Europe and focused on supporting Connor’s existing clients and expanding Connor’s worldwide customer base across all service lines. Prior to that, Matthias was Director, Intellectual Property and Compliance for Dolby Laboratories, where he oversaw the execution of all IP compliance initiatives for Dolby EMEA. Matthias also worked in leadership positions for Adobe in Chicago, USA as part of Adobe’s global license compliance program, and for ServiceSource (acquired by Concentrix) in Solution Design and Client Management roles in Dublin and London.
